image deconstruct
Partially erased photographs.
11x17 inches, 2013

No place for […] explores the physicality of mark making. Both additive and subtractive concepts. It combines the idea of claiming spaces in the real world and on the image surfaces itself. These photographs are altered into paintings, using a chemical based subtractive technique. Paint is NOT applied to the photograph; instead its surface is diluted with solutions, which allows erasing out and altering specific parts of the original.
